This week was a very "special" week on the campus of Ndsu. Good old George "Dubya" Bush spoke at are sports arena on Thrusday and caused problems all week. Monday, I walked in the sports arena and there are a million secret service agents walking around looking at me like I'm not supposed to be there. Then were informed that we can't use are own track on tuesday to practice because the had to set up. So we had to take a team van over to Concordia College in Morehead,Mn and practice.(Thanks ,Concordia, we appreciate it a lot!) They told us that we had to have everything out of a track lockers and have them unlocked or else they we'll be broken into and searched. Wednesday I'm in the pool doing my pool workout and then its annouced that people had to move their cars from the lot infront of the building where I always park to another spot because of secret service. So I jumped out the pool wet as hell threw on a pair of shorts and a jacket and moved my damn car and almost slipped on a block of ice and ended my season. After Bush spoke on Thrusday they had a hugh clean up session and we were only allowed to use one straight -away for practice. I hope he never comes back again!!! I'm very excitied about this up coming week, we'll be at Iowa State competing against some great competetion and I'm looking forward to it.

This past weekend I competed at the University of Northern Iowa. Ran the 60, 200 and 4x4 again for the 2nd week in a row. The 60 prelims went very smooth and I got our hard and shut it down at the end and ran 6.98. In the final I felt good but not good enough to win and I took 2nd in 6.85. I was very dissapointed after the race because I would've liked to run sub 6.80 but I'm glad I got it out of my system this week because 6.85 won't cut it at Iowa State this weekend. Drew lane 8 in the 200, once again running blind but I managed to win in 21.81. I didn't feel all that great especially the last 50 meters but can't complain with a win. We didn't run 3:11 this week but we still managed to win. My leg was pretty smooth, didn't blaze the first duece and I basically let the crowd run my last 200. Two guys we're coming up behind me and I knew the whole time but I just relaxed and then coming off the final turn I put my 300 intervals to work and sprinted the last 50 and pulled away.
