First off I want to congratulate my boy Omole for dropping that 6.62 this weekend. Competed this weekend at the U of Washington in the 60, 200, and 4x4. The 60 was the worst part of the meet in a sense. In the final I reacted to the gun very well and felt explosive out of the blocks. Everything seemed in place until I stumbled 3 steps and had to use hand to keep me from eating a mondo sandwich! When I regained my composure I kept driving and came back from damn near last place to get 2nd and surprisigly ran 6.93. I was so upset that I had to go sit in the bathroom for awhile to calm down. The good thing is that race definetly let me know that I'm ready to run 6.69-6.74 soon. The 200 was decent and I ended up taking 2nd in 21.68. The highlight of the meet was the 4x4. I anchored and felt pretty good. I took the first 200 out hard because I was trying to make up ground on Everhart from Ucla. I didn't catch him but I did split 46.8 and we broke the school record in 3:11.62. Next week we head to Northern Iowa and I plan on running the 60-200 again.
