Good luck to everyone this weekend at your conference meets. Please run for me because we don't have one!. It kinda makes the season seem different because usually at this time the excitement starts warming up and your ready to drop some fast times. Instead I'll be sitting on the computer looking at everybody else results.  I Ran in my final home meet of my career last Friday. I failed in my quest to qualify for the Us Champs, I felt good and was really focused on just running well and not worried about qualifying. I dropped a 6.91 and then followed up with a 6.92 in the final. I ran 6.93 damn near falling on my face some weeks back but it just wasn't meant to be this year. The coach decided to add the invitional  300 meter dash to the program and after my 60 performance I was ready to go home and chill out. I sat around talkng to some friends and the next thing I know the race is getting ready to start. I'll be honest I really wasn't into it and I had to convience myself to run it. They set the race up pretty nice with introdutions and short biographies before the start. I was in lane 5 with Starr in front of me. I used him as a rabbit the whole way, and made my move just a little bit to late. He won in 34.10 to my 34.21 which set a new school record and still I wasn't satisfied. I guess I'm a hard guy to please win it comes to my performance but I'll always take a school record. Next week we head to Norte Dame for the last chance meet. Since I ran a fairly good 300 meter dash time I'm going to finally jump in the 400 and try to break are school record of 47.65.
