While competing at the NCAA Division II level, Johnson was a seven-time All-American in the sprints. Last year, Johnson won the 2004 North Central Conference 400 meter dash in a school record time of 46.69. Johnson finished his career in the NCC as a 12-time NCC champion.
Johnson is the school record holder in the 60 meters (6.74), 200 meters (21.44i) and 400 meters (46.69). while also anchoing the 2004 runner up 4x400 meter relay at the NCAA Division II Championships in a school record time of 3:07.75. Johnson was the third leg of the college divison 4x200 meter relay that won and ran the fastest time in the last 16 years at the Drake Relays (1:24.20). Johnson is currently a senior working on his B.A. in physical education and coaching at NDSU.
