Let me introduce myself first, I'm Linze Leimkuehler and I attended Missouri Valley College (MoVal). It's in Marshall, MO and has bout 1,400 kids. Not much goes on round here, but it's cool with me. Let's me focus on my grades and running. I'm majoring in physcial education (I think it changes daily), and I like to read when I'm not runnin'. I realize that I'm not the fastest chick out there, but I am one of the hardest working and most dedicated person most of you will ever meet. I think that's why I have been successful at the NAIA level thus far. I've had a great love and respect for Track and Field for what seems like my entire life right now, so if you ever wanna talk, my email is: Linze_L@hotmail.com
This journal is just going to be a play-by-play of my life. I'll talk about training….classes…..and whatever else comes along.

After coming off of a HAAC Conference win in the 55m this weekend…I was needless to say a tad bit sore. But that's good, shows that I ran hard this weekend. In places I hadn't been sore in a very longggggggggggg time. But it was well worth it. We placed 3 rd as a team, it was awesome, I'm so proud of everyone and how we came together to win the first Women's Track and Field trophy that MoVal had seen in awhile. But I can already feel there's gunna be a lot more of those over the next few years….

Classes were a major drag today. I hate my math class. I mean I just hate math, I feel like when I walk into that classroom I'm stepping on to another planet. It sucks. But I have my Lit class that day and I like that class, so I guess it's a good balance. Practice went well, did a lot of “short stuff”. Trying to work everything out from Sat., not sore anymore, actually I'm feeling pretty good today. I'm trying to adjust my diet a little bit right now leading up to Nationals. I dunno if its going to make a difference in the way I run, but hey every little bit helps!!!
Wednesday 2.23.05
Just another day round MoVal. Class is class. Practice went good though. It's pretty much the best part of my day, I really just love to run and workout. We worked on blocks for a VERYYYYYYYYYYYYYY long time today. It got me thinking about Nationals…the anticipation already building….I had to work tonight. That wasn't that bad, I like to spend money. So I guess I better work on making some to spend…
Thursday 2.24.05
I can't believe that its already Thursday! This week is going pretty fast for me. I'm just excited tomorrow is Friday…finally…Classes went slower than usual today. Every time I looked down at my watch the hand had only moved like a minute. Practice was alright….didn't run as much as I was hoping. I did some upper body lifting and abs after practice, made me feel a little better.
Friday 2.25.05
ONE WEEK UNTIL NAIA NATIONALS IN JOHNSON CITY, TN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Finally Friday…class was class once again. The National Qualifiers got our picture taken for the paper today. Sitting there made me realize that I'm really gunna be running there a week from today. Yeah a week from today is also my b-day…yeah that's gunna be a big day. It's gunna be different running on my birthday…but I look forward to it. Practice went really good. I'm feeling good out of the blocks, and all of more soreness is gone now. My legs feel really fresh and ready to run!!!
Sat. 2.26.05
Went and ate at my fav. Place, Copeland's…if ya ever head to Overland Park, KS I recommend it, it's awesome. Then I did some shopping, got some new clothes to spring. Didn't get a run in today. I try to take at least one day a week off, I think a little rest does the body good.
Sun. 2.27.05
Today sucked. I got a call, and they thought that my (younger) brother had broken in ankle at the YMCA, but he didn't, I'm so happy he didn't…but it's a really bad sprain, and he has to stay off of it for 3-4 weeks. He was going out for track, so now he has to put those plans on hold. So needless to say I spent today at the hospital. I did get a really good run in, in the morning though. Did some 200 repeats, I'm ready to head to Nationals.
The next time write will be after Nationals and a year older. I hope everyone runs well and has a good week!!!
Yours in running,
Linze
