It would be difficult not to select LSU's Kelly-Ann Baptiste in this race. She's been the hot pick all season long and her times have shown it. Samantha Henry will need step up since she hasn't clocked the 7.18 since early February which could leave the door open for the two Anderson's to crash the party. This will be a big test for LSU who are in the thick of the title chase. If Juanita Broaddus can at least get a point for LSU, it may be the difference between first and second for the Tigers.

This is the event that Texas A&M is hoping to score big in. Can Lucas and Anderson go 1-2 to rack up 18 points for the Aggies? I have a feeling that
Nickesha Anderson may spoil the party which is just what LSU likes to hear.

Here is a tough race to call. Watching Shana Cox claim the 400 meters at the Big Ten Championships on the Big Ten Network while easily holding off Iowa's
Kineke Alexander showed me just how strong she was. This is the perfect weekend for Cox to run fast and leave her indoor collegiate career as a champion. I think Jessica Beard of Texas A&M will be a close second as the only freshman in the field to score.

The 800 meters should be the most exciting event of the weekend.
Geena Gall appears to be running the most consistent all season long, although people seem to forget about
defending champion Alysia Johnson. My darkhorse pick could be Heather Dorniden, after her gutsy performance in the 600 at the Big Ten Championships, but I see her coming in third. It's too close to call. I see Johnson stepping up with the championship experience and taking the title once again. It could be a big blow to Michigan who needs every point they can get to win the team title.

It certainly appears to be an easy selection here with Edwards, just like Kipyego in the 5,000 and Riley in the weight throw. This event is where you really have to take the performance list with a grain of salt. Many of these athletes haven't competed much in the event (nor should they) and there is a big difference between someone recording a time at Washington's outdoor (indoor) track and those on a 200 meter oval. This is why I'm picking
Felnagle to come away with the title. She basically ran by herself at the New Balance Collegiate Invitational and hasn't seen much competition all season long. Sure, Kipyego can easily take it as well, but I really think
Felnagle has the fire in her for this race.

You could say that Shantia Moss has been somewhat of a disappointment this season after claiming the title last year in 7.98. She's been unable to dip below 8.11 and competes every day with one of the best in

I think it's funny to see LSU entered as a "B" team, as if they have a squad that can go 3:27 but are just teasing the field. Either way, this is their race and the Tigers will show once again who has the best quarter-milers. Texas A&M should make it a good race as they'll finish second. It's hard to select teams who run fast on last chance weekend just to make the trip to Arkansas, which is why no one should be surprised if Tennessee ends up higher than their entry time. This just may determine if LSU will win the overall team title or not. Too bad we have to wait for the tape delayed coverage on ESPN2 for this excitement.

The most noteable loss is Georgia's Levern Spencer. According to an email from their sports information department, she is "currently dealing with a pending eligibility question." It appears as though it hasn't been finalized yet as she was a favorite for the title. Update: A report out of the St. Lucia Star states that Spencer received money and gifts valued at over $100,000. With Spencer out, Sharon Day should step in and take the title. The senior has been jumping well all season long and has her sights set on the U.S. Olympic Trials as well.

With three athletes seperating themselves from the field at 4.30m, this could be one of the most exciting events of the day. I think you could drop all top three performers in a hat (Kubishta, Sultanova and
Rudy) and come out with a solid winner. I like Kubishta in this event only because it's going to be critical for the Sun Devils in the team race. She'll know what to do for the team and this isn't a competition like during the regular season where you are working on your steps in early February.

As the owner of the American Collegiate record, this event is a clear favorite for Reese to win. Perhaps undersold as one of the top athletes in the country (just look what she did at the SEC Championships), this should be her coming out party as one of the best. It's going to be key for Johnson and
Garnett to score big here for Arizona State's title run.
Predicted finish and team points:
1. Brittney Reese, Ole Miss (10)

I'm torn between going with the experienced and champion McLain or the newcomer Williams. I always lay on the side of experience and can see McLain jumping past 13.75m to claim the title. LSU will look to Linton for big points in their title run.

Talk about depth once again for Arizona State.
Stevens and
Pressley have been going 1-2 all season long. The wildcard may be Kevkhishvili who can either spoil or welcome the party for the Sun Devils. Can
Pressley at least take third to get a big six points?

The most important athlete in the Pentathlon just may be Wade of Michigan. With Johnson as a heavy favorite and to score a big 10 points for Arizona State, Wade will need to get that extra clearance or mark in a field event for a difference between first and second place in the team race.
Predicted finish and team points:
1. Jacquelyn Johnson, Arizona State (10)
2. Liz Roehrig, Minnesota (8)
3. Bettie Wade, Michigan (6)
4. Shevell Quinley, Arizona (5)
5. Etienne Chaplin, Arkansas (4)
6. Lauren Collins, UC Irvine (3)
7. Julianne Kennedy, Texas Tech (2)
8. Gayle Hunter, Penn State (1)
Predicted Team Scores:
This just may come down to the 4x400m relay. Imagine LSU being down by 9 points and they have to win the event to take the team title. The key for Arizona State will certainly be the duo of Sarah Stevens and Jessica Pressley in the throws. If the Sun Devils can pull it off, it will be amazing considering they only have one individual in any of the running events (Charonda Williams, 16th in the 200m) and one relay (10th in the 4x400m). You can build a championship team in the field events.
1. Arizona State - 52
2. LSU - 49
3. Michigan - 44
4. Stanford - 31
5. Kanas - 29
5. Tennessee - 29
7. Minnesota - 26
8. Texas A&M - 25
9. Texas Tech - 22
10. Texas - 20
